As many of you will know the organiser of Targa California, David Bouzaglou of TRE Motorsprots, has decided to dedicate this event to Lisa this year as a Tribute to her, along with the friendships and respect she had gained in the U.S. find Targa California here http://www.targacalifornia.com It is a touring event for pre 1975 model cars of any make or model to that year or follow on models.the fundraising website can be found here http://www.gofundraise.com.au/page/BouzaglouD
I will be going across for the event to partner Chuck Miller, a good friend of ours through the Early 911 S Register. i have already been told that i will be the camera operator during the event amongst other things. Some video of previous years is available here http://vimeo.com/3994883

Here are some pics from previous years showing the cars and scenery.
I will be updating this page as info comes to hand so keep watching!

Please be generous A few of you have called with problems donating to the Aus. site? I think that has been fixed. PLEASE let me know if you have a problem with it

http://www.targacalifornia.com site is open !
Response has been fantastic as the main host hotel is sold out ! (except maybe a few smoking rooms) . As of today 2/11, we have 55) 911’s , 4) 914’s, and 3) 356’s, a 550 replica within the total field of 95+ cars. We close registration at 125 cars

So we have blocked rooms next door at the Black Oak Inn. CALL them at 805 238-4740 for the special event rate FIRST COME FIRST SERVED- 4 NON SMOKING LEFT 2/27. THEY STILL HAVE SMOKING ROOMS, BUT NO LONGER ON HOLD FOR US. Mention Targa California. Check the Targa site for hotel info on Wednesday evening April 11th. We will be holding early check in that evening, so you can avoid the Thursday am lines, and sleep in a few minutes more There are still a couple smoking rooms at the main HQ – Adelaide Inn available. Otherwise they are sold out

Some neat things we have organized for this year: April 12 Thursday am Visit to a nice private car collection. Thursday noon- Buttonwillow Raceway : “Taste of Buttonwillow” Yah… sure you can lunch there at the track (they are expecting us), but the real taste is the special track time we have organized for our group ! The group will be divided into Touring, Sport, and Experienced. With pace cars controlling speed and decorum (radio equipped) , Targa California entrants will be able to experience a little of what it is like to drive on a race track. Strict rules will apply, and not following the rules may result in expulsion from the entire event. We want you to have a good time, and be safe ! Helmets are encouraged, but certainly not required

After the taste of the track, the afternoon route takes us to a new direction that will have you astounded at the road, views, and altitude before your arrival to your hotels in Paso Robles.

Friday April 13th, we have arranged for a Taco Night Party at the Adelaide Inn HQ parking lot. BYOB, a few bucks , and savor some authentic delicious Mexican “street corner” cuisine ! .

Above is a Photo of one of the cars ready to go on Targa, the windscreen banner is fantastic and I love the Aussie flag in the bottom corner of the screen! This photo came from Pelican Parts forum

Well there is only 21/2 weeks to go and so many things still to be done!
I am sure it will all happen but the time is flying!
It is hard to believe I am so close to being there meeting so many people I have known over the internet for what seems like such a long time!

Please, please post photos as the event occurs. Can’t be there this year and it’s hurting. Say hello to Dave for me and enjoy yourselves. If the route touches HWY 1 there will be speed traps.
