Swap Meet Car Display

I woke almost early and peered out the window to see nothing but grey skies and rain. We met some of the Early S Registry and R Gruppe guys at the local diner for coffee and then headed down to the Swap. More rain and cold. Despite the weather, the swap was reasonably well supported and more than one of the guys came up to show me their bargain purchases. I was even consulted by a few before they made their purchases – I felt a little like Mamma Bear with all her cubs! All good stuff though… Me, well I walked around the swap half a dozen times, talked to a whole lot of people (in the rain) and didn’t buy a thing (again). Checked out the cars in the parking lot display – a real shame the weather was so bad; forcing display numbers down.

Me, in the rain…

I was suffering delayed jetlag and was not all that happy about being dripping wet. So we were home in “the valley” before lunch and set about prepping Chuck’s car for a fun day at Willow Springs on Monday. I also found out just how much of an “industry town” LA really is – nothing happens once the Oscars start; so when in Rome (or in this case LA)…I guess I sat down and watched the Oscars!
