During 1978 I purchased 2 Mk1 Cortina Gt’s the first photois the end result of one of them. The other was sold. That car was crashed at Sandown during the Australian Sports Sedan Championship final round in the December of 1979. The Escort was then Bought as a 1300 shopping car and transformed during the Christmas break and was ready to go in early March 1980. It started off with a RS2000 engine and eventually was fitted with a 13B Rotary with 300 hp!
The photo with the Posches with the people sitting on them is at the presentation after the Winton 24 hour race which our team won and where I met Lisa in April 1990.

- The first meeting the Escort ran at
- This was taken at the final meeting on the original Sandown layout. It was such a shame this place was changed as it was very challenging.
- Ken still owns and races this car now
- one of my favorite shots
- This little car was very fast in a staight line, in fact at the end of this straight it would be doing 160 mph
- the following Gemini was originally built for Peter Brock
